That said, there are a few popular summer festivals in the Adirondack region that are not to be missed! If you’re visiting the area this summer, keep these events in mind and mark your calendar to attend if you’re in town.
Popular Summer Events in Lake George & Beyond
LARAC Arts Festival
If you’re a fan of craft fairs, you’re not going to want to miss this one! Located at City Park in downtown Glens Falls, the LARAC Arts Festival is one of the region’s largest arts festivals and features more than 100 artists and artisans showcasing their handmade crafts and works of art.
This popular festival also features live music and food vendors. It typically takes place in June; mark your calendar for June 14-15, 2025 if you plan to attend this year!
Adirondack Wine & Food Festival
Featuring more than 120 vendors, the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival is focused on wine, craft beverages, artisanal foods and gourmet bites. Bring your appetite! Besides wine, beer, cider, spirits, and food tastings galore, you’ll also find cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, food vendors, artists, and crafters at this popular event, which takes place at the Charles R. Wood Festival Commons in Lake George, NY.

Adirondack Theatre Festival
Known for presenting new and contemporary plays and musicals, the Adirondack Theatre Festival takes place every summer in Glens Falls, NY. Each year, they produce a summer season of theater featuring professional actors and artists and showcasing new and up-and-coming theatrical productions.
If you’re interested in plays and musical theater, don’t miss this unique event! This year’s Adirondack Theatre Festival starts on June 27th and runs through August 6th. Attend one show or subscribe and enjoy all four shows featured this season.
Rock the Dock Music Festival
A popular event for music lovers, the Rock the Dock Music Festival is an annual opportunity to rock out to jam bands along the Lake George waterfront. Hosted at the Lake George Steamboat Company Steel Pier in downtown Lake George, this festival brings well-known jam bands to town for a family-friendly music festival experience. You can enjoy the performances along the shoreline, or board one of Lake George’s famous steamboats to enjoy the music from the water.
This event also includes food vendors, craft vendors, merch vendors, and more! If you’re looking for a unique concert experience this summer, the Rock the Dock Music Festival is it! This year’s event is happening July 12, 2025.
<Lake George Community Band Festival
If you enjoy live music but rocking out to jam bands isn’t your scene, don’t worry! There are a number of other summer music festivals in the southern Adirondacks, including the Lake George Community Band Festival. This event has been going on for nearly two decades and features local and regional community bands playing live at the Shepard Park Amphitheater in Lake George.
This event is family friendly and it’s completely free – no tickets required! You can come to watch one band or stay all afternoon and into the evening. The 19th annual Lake George Community Band Festival is happening this year on Saturday, July 19th.
Adirondack Boreal Birding Festival
Birding has become increasingly popular in recent years, and the Adirondacks are a great place to go birdwatching! The Adirondack Boreal Birding Festival is a great opportunity for birding enthusiasts from near and far to explore the vast wilds of the Adirondack mountains in search of boreal birds. This year’s festival is happening June 5th – 8th, 2025.
This event brings together birders from all over the US. It includes hikes, walks, outings and seminars throughout Hamilton County – typically including expeditions in Long Lake, Indian Lake, Speculator, Blue Mountain Lake, Lake Pleasant, Inlet and more.
