At Adirondack Diamond Point Lodge, many of our summer guests come to Lake George to attend festivals and events that are a big part of the vacation season. There’s not a weekend that goes by without something happening on the Lake during the summer, but the ones below are a few of our guest’s favorites.
Americade Motorcycle Rally: Every year over 50,000 motorcycle enthusiasts cruise into Lake George for Americade. The world’s largest motorcycle touring rally features a week of events, exhibits, stunt shows, and vendors. It’s a can’t miss event for motorcyclists who can enjoy the rally and then take a scenic ride through the Adirondacks.
Adirondack Wine & Food Festival: A great way for foodies to spend a weekend in Lake George. The festival features vendors offering food and beverages from New York’s finest wineries, breweries, cideries, and distilleries, as well as artisan food and beverages. Just down the street from the Lodge, you can eat awesome food, listen to top-notch entertainment, and get back to your room to take a quick nap.
Lake George Triathlon Festival: Fitness fanatics have made this one of the premiere Adirondack racing events of the summer. Competitors have three races to choose from and can attend the Alpha Win Fitness Expo to visit vendors, sample products, product demonstrations, and clinics led by fitness experts and nutritionists. It’s a fantastic event for racers and spectators!
Lake George July 4th Fireworks: This is the signature event that defines summer in Lake George. The fireworks can be seen from almost everywhere on the Lake so you can kick back at the Lodge to watch them or head down to the Village to get a closer look.
Adirondack Nationals Car Show: Towards the end of the summer season, classic car fans gather at Fort William Henry Hotel & Conference Center to see hundreds of classic makes and models, hot rods, trucks, customs, and more. People also enjoy raffles, vendors, and DJ music all day long.
Lake George Art and Craft Festival: Shop, listen to music, and eat great food as you wind your way through booths of more than 100 artists and artisans who offer their handmade goods at this event. There’s a wide variety of wares and fun activities for the kids.
Lake George Music Festival: Classical music lovers gather each summer at the Carriage House at Fort William Henry. This festival has built a reputation as one of the foremost classical music retreats in the country. Visitors enjoy two weeks of chamber music and orchestral concerts along with the gorgeous Lake George views.
