Adirondack Nationals Car Show Details

The Adirondack Nationals Car Show is a family-friendly event featuring approximately 1,500 classic cars, hot rods, trucks and custom vehicles on display at the Fort William Henry Hotel & Conference Center in Lake George, NY.  The event kicks off each year with a themed party on either Wednesday or Thursday evening. Tickets can be purchased on the Fort Willian Henry website and include live music, buffet dinner, and cash bar.

Weekend admission to the car show costs around $15 and provides access to row-after-row of amazing cars, automotive-related vendors, DJ entertainment, 50/50 raffles, awards presentations, and more. There are also plenty of opportunities to see classic cars parked throughout Lake George Village without paid admission, and everyone is invited to watch the free Friday and Saturday night cruises up and down Canada Street.

History of the Adirondack Nationals Car Show

The Adirondack Nationals Car Show was started by the Albany Rods & Kustoms (ARK) car club in 1985. Their first event, “The Highland Farms Car Show” was held in Altamont, NY, followed by “The Mom and Apple Pie Car Show” in 1986. These first shows were small, drawing less than 100 cars.

In 1988, ARK held the first “Adirondack Nationals” car show by invitation only at the Glens Falls Sheraton Inn, and the event featured a total of 268 cars. The following year, the Adirondack Nationals Car Show was moved to its present location at the Fort William Henry Hotel & Conference Center, and it has since grown into one of the largest muscle car shows in the eastern United States. Today, the Adirondack Nationals Car Show averages 1,500 cars each year.
